When Tracey McVicar moved back to Vancouver after living in New York City teaching in an inner city school, it was a giant career move. But she doesn’t regret a thing.
She had moved to New York City in 2001 to teach, with the intention of making an impact on the world. However, after 9/11 happened, her mind shift changed, and her priorities became her loved ones. She moved back to Vancouver, returned to the investment banking sector, and has been there ever since.
Who Is She?
A hard working individual, Tracey is currently the managing partner at CAI Capital Partners. She was in charge of the launch of a new fund, as well as CAI’s first platform investment since 2013.
She has a background in investment banking, having worked at RBC Capital Markets and Raymond James Limited.
The high powered visionary is currently the Director of Canadian Heating Products Limited. While that’s her main gig, she’s also the Chair of the White House Design Company Inc., the Director of Tech Resources Limited, the Chair of GeoStabilization International, and the Chair of Feeney Brothers Excavation LLC.
In the past, her experience has included the Director of Women Entrepreneurs BC, Director of UBC Investment Management Trust, Director of BC Hydro, Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade, Director of Tervita, and the Chair of GLM Industries.
Her specialities lie in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance.

She’s also received several recognitions for her accomplishments, including being the past winner of the Business In Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40, WXN’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award, BC Business Magazine's 50 Most Influential Women In BC, and the Association of Women in Finance’s PEAK Award for Knowledge and Leadership.
